Re: Car Craft '65 El Camino LS1 Swap

Might ask the Q in Performance section and/or Engine arena.

Sure would be nice to have a section devoted specifically to LSx swaps & engines!!

ls1tech.com is where it's at. There's so much info there and pro-touring.com that it would be a waste to put an ls1 section here.

Re: Car Craft '65 El Camino LS1 Swap

Here is an El Camnio LT1 conversion that was not only well planned out but well documented also. Plus the guys on the other end of the key board if you had any questions.

I'm using an F-body accessory drive. I still need to get the alternator relocation bracket $200, and for the A/C compressor, I'm using a $50 Vintage Air bracket (requires notching frame).

I'm totally phasing out of the GEN 1 motors.
Current motor is going to be the last GEN1 motor I ever do.

Not at all. What's a waste is the disorganization & haphazardness. Why do we need to bounce into more websites?
-------------------------------------------------------------
Like others before me have said: We can be the GO-TO site for all Chevelle (A-Body) LS Swap info.

Why do we/would we suddenly need to go elsewhere?

Do we suddenly not take care of our own w/this?

Are we not Chevelles guys helping other Chevelle guys with all-things Chevelles?

The websites you named have their community. We have ours. If it pertains to a Chevelle project, it best serves our
community by being here. Interest in LS Engines & Swaps into Chevelles is growing day-by-day and the info should be here, on our community's behalf, for the most Chevelle owners to benefit from.
--------------------------------------------------------------
In one centralized forum, not scattered piecemeal fragments "here & there" or in the search/archives.

Like now...we're in the El Camino forum! How many other Chevelle folks are going to see your very fine posts on the subject?

If there is any info pertaining to putting a LS engine into any Chevelle, it should be here, on Team Chevelle.

Re: Car Craft '65 El Camino LS1 Swap

Lots of Chevelle/LS swap information to be found in the "Pro-Touring" section right here on TC.
