Evap suitcase finish

Just got finished doing a real lite glass bead clean up on the evap suitcase, to get all the rattle can paint off. Cleaned up nice.
Now the finish appears to be almost chocolate brown...Is the finish supposed to brown (almost bakelight) or semi gloss black?

painted mine with rattle can clear coat....

Steve, most cases I have seen including mine are gray fiberglass. It should be left natural.
