And on my website with the chassis pictures numbers 1 through 63 http://www.1969supersport.com you will see some pictures of the four speed that came with it that fit and worked good before the frame off, so its not the original 4 speed that came in the car when it was new.

Re: 69 muncie 4 speed shifter bench vs. console

Some good references noted above. Although I can't really confirm it from my knowledge, there might have been a third different shifter handle used on a bucket seat "no" console car.

Yes, there was a third shift handle for a bucket seat car with no console.

Re: 69 muncie 4 speed shifter bench vs. console

Definitely not a bench seat shift handle. The bench seat handle curves up and over the seat for clearance when short guys like me have the seat all the way forward.

Re: 69 muncie 4 speed shifter bench vs. console

You almost need a picture the console shifter and buckets non console shifter side by side to tell the difference. I do not have a picture. I thought I saw one on here in the forums a while back. Do a search.

Re: 69 muncie 4 speed shifter bench vs. console

as long as this thing doesnt stick up too far or anything like that im fine with it, i just wanted to make sure it wasent gonna look stupid, but from the info ive gathered the floor shift and console shifter handles are very very similar

Here's a comparison pic showing the difference between the "buckets/no console" (the upper 2), and the "with console" (the lower 1).
