Can anyone recommend a good aluminum repair shop that may be able to repair this intake?

Re: Aluminum Intake Repair?

Thanks for the advice so far guys. We just found this intake buried in the shop and I believe it's a 67 427 L88 unit so I'm really looking for someone who specializes in this type of repair. Here's another picture of it.

Re: Aluminum Intake Repair?

Mike,
The front bolt boss is an easy fix, I do them all the time. The plenum is another story. Pretty labor intensive to replace the divider that's been removed. Call me.

Call Kevin at Corvette repair I sold him the L88 Prototype intake that is on the Penske 66 L88 Corvette race car. Tell him I sent you his way !!!!!!!

Re: Aluminum Intake Repair?

Here's a couple of pictures, this intake has 2 casting numbers on it and the date code is 9-26-66. I also don't believe the plenum has been cut out. It appears to be a smooth factory casting around the whole inside perimeter.

Re: Aluminum Intake Repair?

Thats a Real L88 intake from the Original picture you can see it is cast like that there is a small flash line of the mold. Its the Real Deal call Kevin !!!!!! I had one just like it with the same date !!!!!

Re: Aluminum Intake Repair?

Thanks for the advice everyone but I'll send this up to Chris White for the repair. I wasn't aware that he did that kind of work on aluminum.

I'm not the brightest light on the tree Mike, but I'm starting to think you're less than thrilled with the services of this particular vendor

Bill, I have my own reasons why this intake would never go to Md. and I was well aware of the repair work they do before this post. I appreciate everyones' advice here on TC, hence the reason for this post in the first place. I was merely asking for recommendations from any TC members who have had this type of work done before, possibly by another vendor. As soon as it was brought to my attention that Chris White could fix this intake, that's all I needed to hear. Again, Thanks for all the advice from TC but I know I made a sound decision on where to send this intake.
