70 ss cowl induction

i'm trying to put the vacuum pod on the cowl door.i know the vacuum pod is not like the original.they have an internal spring.this one came with a spring to go outside.does anyone know how this goes on?

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying about a spring on the outside. Never heard of one like that before! Doesn't sound right to me! Go here for detailed instructions on the assembly of cowl induction hood... http://www.elcaminostore.com/technic...72cowlhood.asp
