Borg Warner Super T-10

Does anyone know how the Borg Warner Super T-10 of transmission compares in terms of durability to the Muncies of the day - M20, M21.
I assume there's no comparison to the M22 in terms of durability.

Not sure if there are period specific BW's that vary greatly, but I believe the Super T-10 was a somewhat '70's unit.

Re: Borg Warner Super T-10

Keep in mind that these transmissions were used mainly for cost reduction and also that the vehicles they were used in had lower HP/TQ ratings than those that used the Muncie.
I'll let you draw your own conclusion considering the above info.

Re: Borg Warner Super T-10

I had one in a 69 Chevelle with a small block 383 stroker motor in

it some years ago.

Shifted and ran like a dream.

Was a perfect set up.

Don't know about a big block.

Re: Borg Warner Super T-10

When I first bought my 70 BBC it had the T-10.....went to a Muncie M-21. Has runs very well now. I did not have the HP in the car with the T-10 that I have now. I would recommend the Muncie over the T-10.

Not much to add here except that T10 parts are in short supply right now with Richmond Gear being sold. No idea on parts availability
