need new comp., saving favs

i need a new comp., and being pretty stupid about them its always a chore
i want to somehow save my favs, is there a way to transfer them to a new comp. as opposed to writing down all the addresses and reopening them to the new?
also keeping my printer
i have windows 7, wanted to keep it, but i guess they will load 8 on a new one
as you can tell, some things i hate change, lol

when your credit cards are maxed, have the limits raised

You talking bookmarks?
You can backup & import them using a flash/thumb drive from IE ,FF ,etc.
If your referring to something different ,post it.

If saving Internet Explorer favorites, select Start - Computer, then go to the folder:
Select All, right-click, Send To, then select the drive letter for your CD burner or USB stick.

For Firefox bookmarks, press Ctrl-Shift-B, select Import and Backup, then Backup, and select the drive letter for your CD burner or USB stick.

Re: need new comp., saving favs

Bought and used a transfer cable to move photos, favorites and documents to Mary's new computer. It transferred way to much and WIN8 did not deal well with it. Restored it back to the day before and moved everything manually. Used the cable from XP to WIN7 with no issues, 8 is really a different operating system and does not seem to play well with older versions.

Re: need new comp., saving favs

You can save just about everything in your profile to a flash drive and drag it back in the new OS.

If you donít push the limits how are you going to find the weak spots?
