Re: 67 chevelle fuse panel

TY - I have the same question for my 67 Malibu. The only label I can read is third from the bottom (out of seven fuses) - GUAGES

Re: 67 chevelle fuse panel

From top to bottom:

Wiper...................20A
Heater..................25A
Radio....................20A
Inst........... Lps......?
Back Up.....Gauges..?
Clk Ltr....Ctsy...Haz..?
Stop.......Tail...........20A

Sorry that I can't read some of the fuse ratings.

Terminals top to bottom:
ACC Fused
Lamps
Ign. Fused
Bat. Fused

The way the terminals fall, you will notice that the ACC lines up against the radio fuse. The lamps terminal against the instrument lamps fuse, the Ign. against the back up and gauges fuse, and the Bat. agianst the clock/lighter/courtesy/hazards.

Re: 67 chevelle fuse panel

Gary - I did not find a fuse panel description in my factory service manual, or ....even in my original owners' manual.

From the three you have, can you confirm the labels as above for a 67?

thanks...Bob

Re: 67 chevelle fuse panel

Ha... I just finished taking a picture of the fourth harness I found... no longer required.
Funny thing this last harness was the rustiest of the bunch but the lettering was all there.

Re: 67 chevelle fuse panel

thanks Greg ...that helps. Interesting, in my Malibu, the bare terminals in the right side only have one connection, not the two that are in your photo. Perhaps because my car has no power accessories.

I am going to use the terminal IGN to get 12 volts to my coil.

I have a question on a 1966...D,G,F,and E have no power. are they feed power from the side terminals. This car was brought to me after a restore went wrong. I see nothing to plug intothe terminals on the right side panel

No, the side terminals provide output connections for optional accessories and add-on's.

The main power comes in from the rear where the fuse block connects to the bulkhead connectors (the plugs at the firewall). Power comes in and then is distributed appropriately (some fuses are powered at all times like the brake fuse, others only have power when the key is ON like the heater fuse).

Was the car installed with new harness(es) or are these originals?
