Ok, I think I have all the parts to install the flapper door on my new repo CI hood, but something isn't quite right.

Here is a pic of the parts I have.

The bolts and bushings on the left are what the door pivots on, correct? The 4 bolts in the center of the pic screw into the under side of the hood. Now is where I'm confused. The flat part of the bracket has 2 large unthreaded holes. What are these for? The other part of the bracket has 2 small threaded holes, while the other side has 1 small threaded hole. Can someone explain how this all goes together?

Thanks,

Update:

I think I got the door on, but it sits high and is not centered. Are you supposed to use shims between the hood and the brackets to lower the door so its level with the hood?

Thanks,

Jimmy,
From the factory, there were shims between the hood and and hinge. These shims are no longer available AND are NOT reproduced. So just use use small washers, works fine.

PAY ATTENTION TO THIS! WHEN SCREWING THE BOLTS IN WHICH HOLD THE HINGE TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE HOOD, BE CAREFUL THAT THEY ARE NOT TOO LONG. IF THEY ARE A LITTLE TOO LONG AND YOU SCREW THEM INTO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE HOOD TOO FAR, YOU WILL HAVE BUMPS APPEAR ON THE TOP SIDE OF THE HOOD. ---------guess how I know.
