are left bank and right bank pistons the same part in bbc???

or is there a pin offset that makes them different?

They're the same part number, right or left bank.
Mopar used to do that, in a way. They had a notch in the piston crown that had to face the front of the engine, so you had to pay attention when assembing the pistons to the rods. Once assembled, you couldn't swap banks.
