i went into schucks and bought some motor mounts and come to find out they dont even fit! i guess i need wider ones or something thats what my dad said. any advise.

Yea do a search of this BB (try Engine and drive train) BB and SB mounts are the same EXCEPT THE 307's!!! if the ones you picked up look too narrow they are for the 307(I ran into the same problem) Chevrolet still stocks the proper mounts
