Bypass hose for 454?

Do any of you guys know the GM part # for the bypass hose? The one that goes from the water pump to under the thermostat housing. What about the fittings? I have a long water pump. My brother works at the GM parts counter and is having a hard time finding the number.
Do some of ya'll just block off the hose and drill some holes in the thermostat? Thank you for any help, this is my first BB Chevy.
Later guys. -- JOsh

have him call GM performance parts (Partech) and ask them...... it'll come with the 12496962 ZZ502 Deluxe..... all they'll have to do is look at the parts list..... or is there a "pink book" there at the dealer from GMPP? might be in the back of the 2006 GMPP catalog with the parts breakdown

"72chevy" had it right also

Some people say I have too much stuff for my garage, I say I have too little garage for my stuff
If some is good, more is better and too much is just right
