Will 5X120 Fit 5X120.65 bolt Pattern?

The guys at several rim shops have said yes. I even called Giovanna and the Service Tech said it would fit. Anybody have any opinions or maybe have tried this before.....I am interested in your views and knowledge. Thanks
I want to put these on my 69 20x8.5 front 20x10 rear.

The difference is .65 of a millimeter, which is a hair or 2! They often call the 114.3(4.5") and the 115 the same which is of course .70 mm difference. So yes, they should work just fine if your offset/backspacing is correct!

I'll let you know later today. I have a set of 20x8.5 w/ 5" BS and 20x9.5 w/ 6" BS off a BMW (5x120) here that my son brought home. DIfference on the bolt pattern is .026"

You have also got to realize that that .65 mm difference is not at every stud, it is divided between all 5 studs! That is .13 mm difference per stud which is less than a human hair! So basically there is no difference. If you contact the places that makes these wheels their manufacturing tolerances are probably more than +or-.13 mm!

Re: Will 5X120 Fit 5X120.65 bolt Pattern?

Just tried it. 5 x 120 bolt pattern fits perfect. Just have to watch the backspace. Wheels I have here are 20x 8.5 w/ 5" BS and 20 x 9.5 w/ 6" BS. These are sucked in too far. Ideally, the 9.5" rim should be 5.25" BS, 8.5" would be good at 4.75" BS. JMHO, '69's seem to work best with "0" offset.

Glad to know this! I have had my eye on a set of M Parallel BMW wheels. Do a search, cool wheel and resonably priced for an 18 inch rim.

Not true, bolt patterns are measured across two studs, not on a radaii.

Authentication and pre-purchase inspection service still available. PM me for more information.

You've got some thick hair! Most hair is .003-.005" thick. A mm .03937" so .65 of that is .026" and half of that is .013".

WQW! Not thinking right lately I guess, preoccupied with health issues! It woulg be half as much per stud. So .65 mm difference would be .325 mm difference per stud!

Actually, the bolt pattern of any wheel is a circle...and measured as a diameter.
Which obviously is simple to measure on an even number of lugs...more difficult on the odd numbered ones.

Re: Will 5X120 Fit 5X120.65 bolt Pattern?

Had a 2005 GTO with the 5x120. I bought a set of Draglites with the 5x 4.5/4.75 and they fit great, no problems at all. I still have the stock GTO 18's, may try them on the 72just to see how they look.

Re: Will 5X120 Fit 5X120.65 bolt Pattern?

Only input I can give was trying a wheel on the car. Bolted a wheel up with two nuts installed (on two studs to locate it at the 4.75" bolt pattern) to center it and checked the alignment on all the studs - all were dead center (visually). FYI, this is on a rear axle that just had new studs installed about 1 month ago.

Re: Will 5X120 Fit 5X120.65 bolt Pattern?

Great thread...I've seen some slick wheels, including bmw, on ebay with the 5 x 120 bolt pattern and was wondering if there was much of a difference. Opens up the wheel options some more!
