Adding a power booster to manual brakes?

I want to add a power brake booster to my manual 4 wheel drum brakes on my 68'. Can it be done cheaply until I ground up restore the car adding disk brakes? I don't mind the 4 wheel drum, I just want a power assist and don't know the parts I need to add if it can be done. Your advise is appreciated in advance.

Re: Adding a power booster to manual brakes?

You'll need a power brake master cylinder as the manual setup uses a different piston with a deeper recess for the push rod.

You will also need the striker that contacts the brake light switch. Or some other device that will allow the brake light switch to be turned off with a much lower brake pedal. And you will need to remove the pedal return spring, as the booster has a spring built into it.
