Look under the word PLATE or FLO-LITE for a 2 letter code. IE: GX, YT, JT, NV

The letter correspond to a month and a year.

Months: JAN=N FEB=X MAR=L APR=G MAY=J
JUN=I JUL=U AUG=T SEP=A OCT=Y
NOV=C DEC=V
Years: 1963=C 1964=G 1965=J 1966=A
1967=Z 1968=X 1969=V 1970=T
1971=N 1972=Y

Thank you for the help.

I can not find the letters -- but-- Under "safety" there is AS-2. Under "plate" on the window glass is 27-118 , under "flo-lite" on the quarter glass is 27-128 on one side and 27-19 on the other. At the bottom of the stamping is M7.8 on the quarters and M20.8 on the door glass. Do these give the date?

Thanks

You have PPG (Pittsburg Plate Glass) glass. The date codes are not the same as LOF. PPG codes are not generally known.

27-128 is Dec 68, 27-19 is Jan 69. I have not yet decoded the prefix of 27.

Re: How to decode window glass date marks?

I'm trying to research a rear glass I have, and I believe the 27 in your side glass designates the manufacturing plant, in this case Tipton, PA.
26 would be Crestline, OH. I found this info on a Camaro forum. http://www.camaros.org/glass.shtml

Re: How to decode window glass date marks?

The camaro page will answer your questions about the glass codes. I checked mine there after asking in a thread in the restoration area. I also have the 27-118 dated glass and one door with 27-108. corresponds exactly to the build date time frame on my trim tag. recommend that page for glass decoding.
