Trim Tag VIN Tag boo boo

Hey guys and gals I just was looking at a 66SS to buy and the trim tag and vin both show that it is a ss here is the difference the trim tag says 13837 and the vin is 137375k10xxxx, yes it is a 6cyl SS Any Ideas Thanks Gene........

the VIN says it's a 65. somethings fishy.

I agree, it is a 1965 Malibu SS 6 cylinder according to the VIN and the 13837 style on the trim tag would not be a problem if it actually is a 65. It is not unusual for 6 cyl Malibus to have 8 cyl trim tags. The VIN is what counts.

If it is a 1966, then the VIN has been switched.
