Thanks Elroy, I'm following your build too.
This car has all kinds of issues, fixed one today.
The heater area on the firewall was flattened and a million pop rivets attached aluminum block off plates.
Very fortunately for me the lip on the heater hole and blower hole were only hammered flat and not cut off. I carefully hammer and dollied the lip back into place. Turned out good. I thought I might have to graft firewall parts from the other car.
I am finding that my favourite tool in the shop is a body hammer.
take my advice, I'm not using it.
