brodix rr 294 or 270 for my 496

hello im getting ready to pull the trigger on summits deal on the race rites. my build is a 496 with mahle 18 cc dome pistons planning on running a solid roller cam. car is a 69 with a 3500 stahl 3.73 rear. im wanting to make the blunt of power before 6600 being its a 2 bolt main block. my quastion is should i go with the 270 cc with a 110 chamber or the 294 with a 115 chamber. heads will be ran box stock with no port work so what would be the best bang for my buck? thanks

You should get hold of Mike (Wolfplace) or Cstraub here. They will steer you in the right direction and be able to supply the correct parts for it.

Mike would know, and make a deal as well. He can match or beat the Summit prices. He is a dealer for them and AFR as well. PM him.

No matter who yo buy them from, (I sell the same heads for the same prices) make sure you have them disassembled and inspected before you bolt them on. I'm finding more and more problems with "ready to run" heads that IMO, no matter how much money you save or what kind of a "deal" you get, just aren't acceptable. Guide clearances and seat runout are my biggest "pet peeves", and this is on ALL heads...Dart, AFR, Brodix, on down the line.
As far as the RR's, run the 294's on a 496.

I used the 270's . Do you already have an intake ? If not just get the 294.

I would call Mike Lewis for sure.

Mike supplied the rectangular 294RR 115cc for my 460ci project street bruiser - but that was based on my already having that style intake with a little clean up work done - he probably would have preferred the oval

I think for a 496ci - its a no brainer for the larger head - but Mike knows his onions and will probably try to spec it based on your combo

u should buzz him

I'm running the CNC chamber 294cc rect port Race Rites on my 496 and they work very nicely.

Velocity is torque, both flow the same, I went with the smaller port for that reason and because I like me some oval ports oh yeah, they matched my intake too Someone enlighten me otherwise?
