1973 monte carlo

I am replacing the 454 turbo jet with a 598 BBC and a tremec 6 speed manual trans. I would like to get 1.5-2hp per cylinder.

I will be using a tunnel ram with dual 750's. What heads would you recommend? I was thinking about using the Patriot Performance heads with 750 lift or something similar under $1,800. I have the part number for my cam of choice back home. It is a comp cams solid cam design. I do not remember the specs off hand. What other recommendations can you offer me?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: 1973 monte carlo

Try to get in touch with Tony Mamo from Airflow research. That is similar to the build he had in the early 90's. I think he had a 557 and a Jerico 4 speed in his Monte.
