PRO COMP oval port BBC heads

Just curiouse if any body has seen any flow numbers for the PRO-COMP oval port heads?

Myself, I wouldn't risk purchasing a set but I'm curious if they have decent flow numbers. Very Doubtful anything can come even close to the Brodix RR ovals but you never know.

Why buy offshore Chinese junk? Give money to those who designed, researched and developed the product...Not to those who stole it, and do a poor job imitating it. JMO.

Re: PRO COMP oval port BBC heads

the procomp heads are mass-produced in china BUT they were machined in austrailia, so all the spec work is austrailian, the mold was sent to china and that is where it is mass-produced,

i work at a speed shop that sells these heads, actually sold 5 bare sets today!

if you are on a budget and you are building a street/mild strip hot rod.. these heads are perfect! if you are building a all out drag car or serious street/strip then buy you some afr or brodix ect..

i've seen these heads in person and dont look bad at all not any worse than edlebrock or any cast iron head i've seen!

everyone is titled to his or own opinion, mine is to listen to someone who personally have used them as apposed to a "bench racer" who knows everything about something they never have seen or ran in person!

best example... look at the professional products line! they have "china" stamped all over the products, amazing results!

That wasn't what I asked.

Like I said, I really doubt I would entertain buying a set(as a matter of fact I recently bought a set of CNC ported Canfields$$$$$$) but am curious what they flow because I see these for sale and none of the vendors will post flow numbers. They may suck for all we know.

Re: PRO COMP oval port BBC heads

Most people that have bad things to say have never even worked with them. I think that they are good heads for the price and definate upgrade over anystock cast iron head, Im actually gonna be building a 383 for my friend and we both decided they are worth a shot. I'm gonna buy them from a vendor on ebay who goes skip white. He has done extensive testing with the heads and even uses them in his own datsun pro street car. heres a link and he sells them assembled by his own machinist. read up and then give ur opionion.

here is some advice, make sure he gives you all the warranty info just in case you need it, most of the time when you buy it from an ebay seller, if you happen to get a bad head for some reason, make sure they will back you up!

FYI when i called them yesterday they said that the are doing mvp prices after the first of the year for all procomp sellers, which mean if a seller sells it under a certian price, they will lose all rights to sell it again! so prices may go up.. so buy now!!!!!
