110 lsa vs. 112 lsa

Just out of curiosity can someone please enlighten me on the differences?

From what I have gathered so far the 110 has more of a lope and the 112 is smoother but other than that what else is the difference between the two? Is the 112 more suited for street cruising and the 110 more for strip and street combined?

Re: 110 lsa vs. 112 lsa

Reall basic: The wider lobe seperation the wider the powerband. meaning the 112 LSA will have a wider powerband than the 110. BUT, (there's always a but), the 110 will make more PEAK power than the 112. This is assuming all things are kept equal. Is one better than the other? NO. It's all about what your combination needs. The narrower you get the LSA the more peaky the engine becomes, in some cases that is what you want, in others it's not.

Re: 110 lsa vs. 112 lsa

The 112 will likely produce more vacuum than the 110 also, which may be necessary for power brakes. I had my hyd. roller cam ground with a 111 LSA.
