Upper window track metal

How would you guys tackle this job? The entire upper window mount area isn't bad just a good sized section on the left and the right. Center and edges ok. Do they sell this piece somewhere that isn't incorporated to a full roof? Or just easiest to cut out a small section , cut some new bare steal and pitch it in? The window seal, rubber trim, and interior will cover this area when all said and done won't it? I want it safe and done right but curious how perfect I need it to be.

Re: Upper window track metal

Do a YouTube search for "Windshield Pinchweld Repair" and you may find a good video on fabrication technique.

That area has to be re-done very close to factory for the stainless trim to fit correctly.

I have those front roof sections for the channels along with some smaller sections for little repairs.
