69 Chevelle Vinyl Top Kit

Looking for a complete 7 piece kit to put vinyl top on 69 Chevelle that has never had a top. Have looked through the archives and found that this item can be hard to find. Thought I would see if anyone had an extra set or could tell me which vendor might have them. I have sent out several e-mails inquiring about inventory availability but I am not encouraged based on what I have read. Also would like to know if anyone could recomend a good shop or person in the Dallas / Fort Worth area to install the roof.

Steve, you'll have to start scouring classified ads, such as the ones on this site, and try Hemmings Motor News. Also try Cars and Parts magazine.

www.hmn.com

www.carsandparts.com

If you like, you could place a wanted ad in our wanted section here as well.

I bought my set from a for sale ad in our classifieds. Great shape and I've had them all restored.

Try some other vendors like Hinshaw's or The Parts Place, and see if they have used ones available.

Dan

Re: 69 Chevelle Vinyl Top Kit

Thanks Dan, I put an ad in the classifieds this morning. All of the vendors that have responded so far are out of stock with quite a wait. I will check your suggestions against those I have e-mailed.

Appreciate it.

Second the info on Bob, his polishing work on trim pieces is First Class! He will do yours, or sell you a complete set if he has them in stock.

Re: 69 Chevelle Vinyl Top Kit

Thanks Fred and Jeff;

Just sent Bob an e-mail to see if he could help. Was able to find a set in Wisconsin which I hope will be on its way in a day or so but I need to know what Bob has and can do for me should I need additional support.

I really appreciate your help.
