It is on the bottom of the white service parts label that has all the car's option codes on it. A truck has it in the glove compartment and I have seen cars that have it in the trunk attached to the bottom of the cardboard floor.
I sound stupid but go to the local Walmart or autoparts store and look at the Touch-up paint bottles in the Auto section. That Blue that you are looking for is very obvious and it should be easy to spot if they have it. Then check the bottle and it will have the 2 digit paint code.
Am sorry but any paint store that wont look up a paint code when you have the year and the name is not a store that you should be doing business with. Not only do the color books give you the WA code but also the color name. Your paint guy sounds very lazy or one that cant read. What brand of paint you want, I can get the PPG code and S-W paint code along with the WA code...Eric
Hi Ryan, my 1991 Pontiac Grand Am is painted Bright Blue Metallic. All you have to do is go into the paint store and have them get you the code for it. Tell thme the year and the color. I'm sorry, but I don't have a good picture of the car. This is all I have and this was taken before I painted it, note the primer on the hood and roof - http://www.geocities.com/elcamino_1972/grandam.html
I have WA codes in a book at home thur 2000, but I am at school right now and since not many people ask about them, I don't have them with me. I can however get you the WA code off of my grand am later today if you don't find it yourself first.
