Saturday is the biggest day at Barrett-Jackson, both dollar wise, attendance wise and celebrity wise. Since Holly just had her kidney transplant a month ago, we thought it wise to get to Barrett-Jackson early and then be gone before the big crowds hit around noon-as we cannot control who is around her...and who might not be feeling well.

Getting to Barrett-Jackson at 8:30am, it was already getting busy. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that they broke their attendance records this year...even with the crazy rain that we had on Friday. It was a cool crisp morning with a few clouds, which was certainly welcome after deluge yesterday.

As far as the pictures, we wanted to try and feature many different makes of cars that are represented at Barrett-Jackson. I love muscle cars of all types, but it is amazing the variation of cars that are here every year.

To start, you can't go wrong with a 1969 Indy Pace Camaro

Or an LT-1 Corvette

How about an award winning Grand Prix?

1954 Buick Skylark convertible

Then we were back out in the staging lanes...Where Don Prudhomme's Funny cars were "staged"

Then back into the main tent to meet up with some friends. Did I mention that there are cars as far as you can see?

And that I am a huge SD455 Trans Am aficionado?

As I said yesterday, meeting up with friends and making new friends is the best!

Our good buddy Dan Vasic was out from Chicago after doing some restoration work on a 1972 Hurst Olds Pace Car convertible for Joe Spagnoli. Here's Holly and Dan

And both in front of the Pace Car

And the Pace car

And Dan and Joe (it was great to meet you today, Joe!)

I went to the Barrett Jackson auction on Wednesday and on Thursday I bought a 57 Chev. Alright this is a Chevelle forum so please forgive me but I'm still pumped at the whole process and wanted to share it with you guys. It is a 283/283 FI - 150 car, with radio, heater and back seat delete. It was Lot# 839 if you want to look it up.
