Seen this B-4, but still a great story. Many people have told me, I had a 57 and I wish I had keep it, well why didn't you.... classic.

Re: 1957 chevy lady

In the comments on You Tube one genius says "if you want to sell it I want to buy it" I'm sure she will fall all over herself with that offer. She has owned the car 50 plus years and will jump at a chance to sell it ??????? I'm quite sure she will keep it till the day she passes and then "if it were mine" I would send it to a museum.
Right before I bought my Chevelle (15 years ago) I had a chance to buy a nice 57 from a guy I knew. It had a 350 in it (of course it was the proverbial Corvette 350 or so I was told) was a 4 speed car with nice blue paint. Problem was it had a tuck and roll custom seat covers that were done in kind of a robin egg blue and white. Made me want to almost throw up when I looked at it. They were in pristine condition but I just couldn't handle the color. Anyway I passed and bought the Velle. Think I made the right choice.

I'm in love... with her and the car, ignoring the extra doors of course

If you're looking for geniuses in the comments section of YouTube, I have to question your level of genius as well.

Re: 1957 chevy lady

I grew up in the West Bend WI area, and we get plenty of snow. Years ago we got a lot of it. I remember seeing that personalized plate, but never met the lady. Never knew the story before today. I still live very close to her. Now I will be looking for the car. Great story.

Re: 1957 chevy lady

Looks like its in pretty nice shape too. I hope she understands the current times we live in and owning a car like that 55 years later will attract undesirables that will be more then happy to take it from her when she isn't looking. I hope she has a garage to park it in each night and times when she isn't driving it. Still a fantastic story though.

Re: 1957 chevy lady

Cool story. I've got an uncle who's 83 now, still driving the '55 210 Wagon he bought new in '55. Over 300k on the car. He did swap in a '56 model 265 at some point because he wanted an oil filter. I don't think either engine was ever overhauled.

He says "yeah, I almost bought the Nomad, but I had heard bad things about the rear window leaking"

Someday it will be mine, and I'm in no hurry to get it.
