I have to respect the work-in-progress nature of these machines I'm seeing. Here is a link to a super sleeper, a genuinely ratty & fast as all getout beater. I know it is not a Chevelle, but it is a Chevy from the same era and I would say pretty damn cool.

I guess I am a little late getting into this thread, but enjoy regardless.

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

Re: any beater chevelle's? show me your Joe Dirt cars or rusty sleeper

I know you asked about beater Chevelles and I have a lot of gall for posting a link to a beater Ford, but I'll bet a lot of gearheads would love to see this dilapitated 1964 Galaxie 427 dual quad former moonshiner: http://vimeo.com/20017992

The current long-time owner bought it from a moonshiner back in 75 or 76. It looks really ratty and he simply drives it for grins while he maintains the mechanicals.

WARNING: It is a large video.

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.
