HD Sportster 100 ci (1640cc)

Just ran across this video, apparently it is 3 years old. Considering that 1200 (74ci) Sportsters are pretty damn fast, this thing must be amazing. Looking through comments on various related videos, the bike is a 1993 model and eventually dyno'd at 142 rwhp / 181 tq. Also stated as his regular street/commuter bike.

Re: HD Sportster 100 ci (1640cc)

i had one a few years back, had the stroker kit, large cyls, diff cams, etc-it was bad azz for a Harley, i could carry the wheels in pretty much any gear-downside was i destroyed the trans a couple times, found some of the weak points, also broke a couple starter motors, lol-i never ran or dyno'ed it, so dont know how much power it had, but i beat a guy pretty good who ran in the high 11's
i had a chance to test drive one of the Procharged Big bikes, they def get it done

Re: HD Sportster 100 ci (1640cc)

I built one of those back in the early 80s. It would fly! I called it my TT racer (tavern to tavern). It was a real bear to start with 5" wheels in it and did throw me over the handlebars once when I didn't follow the correct sequence in starting it. I considered it a safety feature because if I had too much to drink it wouldn't start. A friend took a picture of me on it and at 6'4" and 300# it looked like I was riding a minibike. I sold it to my BIL and bought a full sized Willy G Wide Glide.

Re: HD Sportster 100 ci (1640cc)

A stock V rod will put any 1200 Sportster in it's rear veiw mirror quick. Only a few well built(highly modded)Sportsters have any real guts.

And a Busa will put them all in the mirror!

The point of the post.... and of my amazememnt, that they were able to achieve 1640cc from an otherwise stock appearing Sportster.

Rowdy, you can go a little bigger than 100 cu. in. Mine was a stock looking '73 with 105 cu. in.
