How to get tape/sticker residue off walls

Kids had bucnh of stuff scotch-taped on the walls, even duct tape in some areas

How do you get this off or do I have to sand it off?

Scrubs towels that come in a bucket work well on most glues.....or a quick wipe with lacquer thinner if re painting.

I have used Goo-gone and the magic eraser. WD-40 also works on alot of issues depending on the paint used, ie... semi-gloss, satin. I have used WD-40 to remove crayon a few times without a problem. Not sure on tape but fabric softner will loosen wallpaper effectively, it desolves the glue so you may want to try that.

I have some goof-off here, but afraid it will attack the paint. I tried the magic eraser, just kinda falls apart as I'm scrubbing the glue residue. I was thinking WD40, pretty safe stuff.
