I enjoy my Chevelle. I bought it in Westminster, Colorado in April of 1976, 29 years ago. I don't know where the heck the years have gone, but I'll tell you one thing; I enjoy that car every day. Take yesterday for instance; I changed the oil and filter, re-packed the wheel bearings and off I went yet again to run another errand over in another town, 30 miles away.
I've got dual cherry bomb glasspack mufflers on it, headers, etc. It's low, loud and cool. It came with a 326 hp 396, but I wore that out. The engine is still in the area somewhere and I probably could and should get it back.
The engine in it now is a '62 Corvette Engine that my wife, Judy, and I completely rebuilt for the car. It's punched 60 over, cammed-up, and has a 650 cfm Carter AFB on top. (I love these carbs).It still has the Factory console 4-speed in it.
