I would like to thank all the folks at Team Chevelle for their knowledge and willingness to share it. I would never have never gotten this far without the wealth of information and help from all of you. There are no questions that couldn't be answered by someone on the board.
I purchased her from the 2nd owner with 52,000 documented miles, but with the front clip removed. I've had a lot of fun putting her back together and driving her every chance I get. My original intentions were to put the car back together and sell it, but, I believe she has found a home with us now. The last time a guy was looking at it at a show and ask if it was for sale my 4 year old started crying saying "no daddy, don't sell the muscle car".
It drives better than my wife's mini-van, always turns heads and get lots of "nice car" compliments. Most anytime we take it somewhere, we come out and there is a crowd of people checking it out. I guess people just don't see many of these old cars being driven very often. With her little 307 and 2.76 rear ratio she is by no means a ground pounder. I have plans for 383 and a 3.73 rear , but, as much as my wife and I enjoy driving her to shows, and on long road trips, I'm in no hurry to swap em.
