Brian, "Sasquatch" on Chevelle Tech passed away Thursday, October 25th, 2001
From Heather:
This is Brian's wife writing to you. Brian and I were married on the 13th of October. The reason I am writing instead of Brian is because Brian has passed away. I'm sorry to be telling you this, this way. He died on the 26th of this month early in the morning. He had had a blood clot in his lungs and it stopped the air to the rest of his body but more importantly to his heart. This caused him to have a major heart attack, so even if they were able to start his breathing his heart was so damaged the doctors still could not have brought him back. We are going to have services for him on Saturday the 3rd of November in Sutter County. Again I'm sorry to have to tell you like this.admin note: Brian talked her into quitting her job so she wouldn't have to stress about work, school, and the wedding and then for the spring semester she would just take more classes and try to graduate early.
His many online friends provided donations in lieu of sending flowers. The donations were accepted until Nov 10th by Team Chevelle.
Team Chevelle sent over $2,000 to Brian's wife Heather. THANKS TO ALL!

I never had the chance to meet Brian in person but from emails and following his participation on our site it's obvious that his heart was as big as his 6' 6" 300 lb nickname of Sasquatch. AlWhen asked about this, Brian responded:
Mine (username) came courtesy of my size and working auto parts counters when I was a teenager. 6'6", 300lb, and yes a hairy back...dunno why they would call me Sasquatch?! (or Jolly Green Giant, or Grape Ape, or Knuckle Dragger...) Hmm knuckle dragger reminds me of a story. I was 18 or 19 working in this part store in Marysville, Ca and one of my co-workers says: "Hey Brian, lift your arms up like this..." "Why? I asked" "Because your knuckles are scratching the floor!!" He got me good, that one still cracks me up (Maybe you had to be there though...)
