TC #32 Gold - ACES #1483
These cars ar a very big part of my life, and I am proud to be a member.
I purchased my car in March 1997 from the estate of the original owner. It was a plain jane Malibu, with a 307, power glide and AM radio beign it's only options. The mileage was 30,777 and I got a P-O-P and other paperwork with it. I have since cloned it into an SS396, and added power steering, power disc brakes and Vintage Air. The 307 has received a Z/28 intake, 600 CMF Holley and headers with a Flow Master exhaust. I have rebuilt the front and rear suspension, and upgraded to a 12 bolt rear with 3.31 gears and a TH350 Trans with a 2,200 stall converter.
A few years ago, I refinished the outside in the original Grecian Green, using PPG base/clear coat. Inside it is all original except the bucket seats and gauges, which I added. It rolls on 15 x 7 Rally wheels and 235/60/15 tires in front and 255/60/15 in the rear.
My family and I average 5,000 miles a year on our car, included the trips to the A.C.E.S. show in Atlanta, and the last three Chevell~abrations! I have a Gen V1 454 to overhaul, and would like to add a console and floor shifter. ![]()
I have made many friends through Team Chevelle and A.C.E.S. over the last four years, and will continue to be involved in the Chevelle community.
Watch out for my next project: a 1970 El Camino with a Vortec 350!Photo Backgrounds of Dave's 68 are available here.
