This is my 65 Malibu SS (Grape Juice) Pro65
It is a factory AC, PS, PB; car came with a 283 and 2 speed PG. When I got the car it was white and sea foam green. It was already stripped and in boxes so I decided to make a few changes.
It now has a solid lift roller BB a custom 700r4, 4 wheel disc. A narrowed 9”and posi unit with 456 gears. A set of weld drag light’s with Mickey Thompson tires rear are 29x18.5x 15” fronts are 28x7.5x15”.We back halved the car using a laderal link and Koni coil overs. We built a sub frame using 1”x 1’ tubing and mounted all the aluminum to it and then mounted all of it to the new frame using rubber mounts so the rivets would not pull out when the car flexed, that way it stays quiet when I am driving it.
A dyno program was run on the car and 729 HP is what it should have. I put a fiberglass cowl hood on it and painted it Black Cherry with ghost flames. A local upholstery shop done the custom interior (Rodgers Upholstery of Macon ). Another local shop installed the stereo system and alarm. It has an alpine cd player with alpine tweeter’s ,6.5” door speakers ,9” rear speakers and 2 punch 10” with 2 alpine amps .I have installed a set of Street Glow lights under the car.
The Engine has Keith black pistons, Comp solid lift roller cam and lifters, Gm pink rods, Calies crank, A set of Gm 106 cc heads. They have been worked and Larger Manley race valves were installed Along with all arp bolts and a set of stud girdles. Edelbrock Intake with a Holey 830cfm Model 4150 carb. It has hooker 2”5/8” headers going thru a custom exhaust system. I installed Zoopes brackets and a type 2 Gm power steering unit with a quick ratio steering box. The firing is handled by a MSD 7AL system and MSD distributor. The fuel system has an aluminum fuel cell and is pushed using an electric fuel pump.
