Meet the "Class" of '67:
A Chevelle SS, Crimson Pearl, 430hp small block stroker, two matched 500cfm Carter carbs,350 trans, 355 posi.
We bought the car in 1984 and have lovingly restored it to the beauty it is today. We have named our car..."Class of 67"...not because of anything to do with school but because in 1967, as today, this car has nothing but,"Class"! The car came to us via Texas and was no more than a shell of it's original self. It had one seat...the drivers.... and household paneling for door panels. Many trips to different junk yards and lots of walks through endless catalogs finally enabled us to get it to the show quality car she is today! When we first started to restore our 67... it was before they started to reproduce so many of the unavailable parts.
We now know the true meaning of the phrase....."Junk Yard Dog"! I believe we hit every junk yard we could fine between MI and TN. We even spent one vacation scouring the country side in search of, "pieces parts", for our evolving beauty.
As with any proud owners, we could continue on and on about our car. We hope to read about others who have simular interests in their cars, and, perhaps meet up with a few of them at various car shows.
