This car was built 11/9/67 on the second shift at Oshawa Ont. I bought it in early '97 from a fellow in Amherstburg Ontario, and tracked two previous owners back till about '82, then lost the string in St. Marys.The car is not original (but who cares) it was born Grecian green color code HH with a black power top, black interior, a 307 with powerglide and a 3:08 open gear.
It has been at least 5 colors that I can document since then. It is currently (lipstick) red. It has new quarters, fenders, and door skins as well as a newer top. All Chrome has been re chromed and the emblems are correct and in place.
I have done some mechanical work to it since I picked it up, but some one else must take the credit for the beauty... At this point I'm just waxing it.
It has a middle 70s rebuilt 350 with a mild cam, a holly 780 vacuum secondary carb, edlbrock rpm manifold, headers, and aluminum dual exhaust. the original powerglide is in place although it will be replaced next summer with a t350. and the rear end has a chrome cover but is mechanically original. The springs were replaced with SS type so it sits a little higher. The sound system is an Alpine (power amp) with a sub woofer in the trunk. The car is not "real fast" but jumps ok when needed, it is a cruiser, I am using it as an everyday driver in-season (no rain).
