Meet the "Tire Toter"We do most of our "grudge" racing at Eatonton, GA and at Twiggs Co Drag strip. All of the guys in our circle, known here as "The Lilburn Bad Boys" built street legal cars so they can be enjoyed all the time! We have all types of cars here, basically you name it and it's around.
My 1969 Chevelle started as my "wanna be" fast car and has developed into the real thing. As the car sits now it weighs 3120 lbs., is NHRA legal to 10.00et, and is street legal. The heart is a 355cid small block with 11:1 compression, stock rods, stock crank, and a, believe it or not, hydraulic camshaft. Power is transfered through a 3800 J&W converter and a TH350 trans to a, as of now, stock 12 bolt posi with 3.73 gears to a real 10" tire. A 28x10.0x15 to be exact. I like that. Of course it has the blue bottle throttle on it, and more to come!!
Future plans are to finish the 408cid small block and put the " warrior well into the 5's. I almost forgot, the rear suspension is 100% stock, right down to the fifteen year old wore out Midas shocks! We didn't get any good pictures the day we got the ones you have or you could have see why thay call me "Tire Toter". Lets just say that my left front tire doesn't start turning until the 60 foot light, and the right not much shorter than that!!!
