The Date Code on the back shelf of the block is K 21 4 (November 21, 1964). The Pad Reads S104352F1127HP. The F1127HP is the Flint Mich. assembly date for the block. The 11 is November and 27 it the day in Nov. The HP is for a 327/300 hp with Powerglide Transmission. The Heads are 461 Castings with a casting date of K 24 4 (November 24, 1964). The Heads have Screw In Studs and Guideplates with 2.02 Intake and 1.60 Exhaust Valves.

The Small Journal Forged Steel Crankshaft is original to the motor as are the Connecting Rods. Pistons are TRW .030 Over Forged Pistons. Speed Pro Chrome Moly Rings were used. As for the Pushrods, they are the Crane One Piece Chrome Moly Steel Pushrods with the ends flared, not pressed on. The Camshaft and Lifters is a Comp Cams 280 Cam and Lifters Set. The Rocker Arms are Crane Stamped Rocker Arms. Timing Chain is an Edelbrock Steel Double Chain and Sprocket Kit.
The Engine is Located in Long Island, New York. If you are local, you are welcome to view the motor.
I would like to build a 383 for my 55 Nomad, but will use this motor if it does not sell. Thank You for looking.
