Description: Freshly Rebuilt 327 from 1965 Corvette Convertible. I was going to use it in my 64 Malibu SS, but decided to sell my project. The block is out of a 65 Corvette with a Build Date of 2/65. The Block is Casting Number 3782870 which shows up as a 1962-1967 2 Bolt Main 327 Block. The Date Code on the back shelf of the block is L 21 4 (December 21, 1964). The Pad Reads 5108482 F0I25HT . The F0I25HT is the Flint Mich. assembly date for the block. The I is January and 25 it the day in January. The HT is for a 327/350 hp with Holley 4 Barrel Carburetor, Hydraulic Lifters and 4-Speed Manual Transmission. The Heads are 461 Castings with a casting date of L 29 4 and L 30 4. (December 29 and 30, 1964).

This 327 is specified for the 8482nd 1965 Corvette built. If someone reads this post and they have the Corvette with V.I.N. 194675S104352 for a convertible this is the original motor.

The Small Journal Forged Steel Crankshaft is original to the motor as are the Reinforced Connecting Rods. The crankshaft was polished and the rods have been cleaned, magafluxed, inspected and reconditioned with new 11/32" ARP rod bolts. New main bearings, rod bearings, cam bearings, brass freeze out plugs, oil pump and screen were installed. Pistons are TRW L2166N .030 Over Forged Pistons. Speed Pro Chrome Moly Rings were used. The Camshaft and Lifters is a Comp Cams Magnum 280 Hydraulic Cam and Lifters Set. The Heads have Screw In Studs and Guide plates with 2.02 Intake and 1.60 Exhaust Valves that were treated to a 3 angle valve job. Also installed are Z/28 high performance .550 lift valve springs.
As for the Pushrods, they are the Crane One Piece Chrome Moly Steel Pushrods with the ends flared, not pressed on. The Rocker Arms are Crane Stamped Rocker Arms. Timing Chain is an Edelbrock Steel Double Chain and Sprocket Kit. A Factory Winters Aluminum Intake Manifold 3844461 sits on top of the motor. An ARP Bolt Kit and Fel-Pro Gasket Kit was used for the build.
