  • Still a very desirable car to have as the Evening Orchid was a one-year only 1965 color.

The highlights:
I purchased this car through a friend from the original owner. When purchased it was believed as told by the original owner to be all original. After further inquiries through the Chevelles.com forum it was determined that the block had been replaced sometime ago to a 1968 block but the original camel hump heads, manifold and such are intact.

The car was born a 327-300hp, 4 speed, factory tach, 12 bolt rear and still is. Maybe a little more than 300HP.
The color is Evening Orchid with black bucket seat interior. The paint is good but NOT show quality.
The interior is better than good but does show some ware. I have been all over this car and can't see any rust. As far as I know this car was/is a California/Arizona car with a solid body.
Since I have owned this car I have replaced the rear bumper, all rubber/felts in the windows/trunk. The engine had a couple of drips so I had the seals/gaskets changed. The car comes a brand new Vintage Air/heat system, brand new radiator, brand new power steering system.

In addition I had all new hoses, belts and brakes/drums (nonpower) put in as needed. The previous owner had the rear fender wells cut. (looks good) to fit the 10" wide BF Goodrich Radial TA's on the car. Easy fix back to original.

The rims are American Torque Thrust spoked mags. I believe that they are old originals. Included are a set of 65 ? SS spinner hub caps in great condition. I added the L79 air cleaner/valve covers (not original to the car). I liked the looks. As you can see I have spent and lot of time and money on the car. It's not perfect but it is a very nice car. With a little more work it could be a show quality original SS.

According to NADA the average blue book value is $29,790. I feel this is an average car or a little better so I am asking $25,500 OBO. The car is located in Lake Havasu City, AZ but I travel between Lake Havasu and the Los Angelus, CA Metro area for work so if someone in Southern California were to purchase the car I would bring it on over for free.
