Here's A Different Twist On Tie Rods

P.S. :   What is the difference between the inner and outer tie rods? The only difference that I can find is the location of the grease fitting. One is in the center and the other is on the side. Which one is which?

H50 :   The outer tie rods will have the grease fittings on the bottom and the inners will be on the edge. 1964-1970 used a small diameter thread, and 1971-72 used a larger diameter.

G.M. :   The outer should be right hand threaded (turn the adjustment sleeve clockwise to go toward the tie rod end) while the inners are left hand threaded (counter-clockwise). This way the adjustment sleeve will pull both in or push them out as it is turned.
