M_: Just finished putting our first big block together and dropped it into a '69 El Camino. We went to the local parts store and bought a refurbished starter. The starter came with two little shims that seemed to have no purpose. After it didn't start and the starter case broke into many pieces, we figured that the shims were important. Lifetime warranties only cover the insides, not the case.
