Check The Factory Manuals

TL: I have a 1967 Chevelle Malibu with 15x8 rims on the rear and 15x7 in the front. The car seems to sit high in the front. Most of the cars I see sit pretty much level. What could be the problem; I like the level look.

SC: The first thing I would do is determine if the front is too high, or the rear too low. The factory assembly manual will give you the correct ride heights. It will be easier to raise the rear height than to lower the front. It may very well be that front springs were replaced and the rears weren't. I know a lot of guys who install taller springs to raise the car (myself included.) A set of Moog # 5375 rear springs will raise a '67 about 3 inches in the rear. These springs have the pigtail on both ends, different from the 1966's which had one pigtail and one square end. If you change the rear springs, be sure to replace the rubber insulators which fit between the top of the spring and the frame. They are available as GM part # 1366500.
