'72 SS454 Chevelle
Frank Bishop, Allen Park, MI
Frank's Cranberry red LS-5 coupe underwent a frame-off 3 years
ago, with plenty of performance upgrades under the hood. Now,
he says, it turns heads as easily as it turns the tires, and he
pampers it by only bringing it out to play during nice weather.
'67 SS427 Chevelle
Ed Pienta, Wilkes-Barre, PA
Whoever first said "black is beautiful" must have laid
eyes on Ed's gorgeous '67 moments before uttering those words.
Complimenting the arrow-straight bodywork and mile-deep ebony
paint is a potent 427 with a Muncie backup. BF Goodrich TA's
on Weld Superlites keep this multi-event champion rolling into
the winner's circle!

Chuck Griner, Radford, VA
If you appreciate unrestored Chevelles the way we do, feast your
eyes on Chuck's 16,000 mile original. Still wearing its original
factory black paint and black bucket interior, here's a perfect
example of how they really used to build 'em. Redline rubber
and optional wire wheel hubcaps keep this SS rolling right into
the history books.

'68 SS396 Chevelle
Matt Gourvin, Mount Morris, MI
At 17 years, Matt is considerably younger than his Chevelle. But
that doesn't dilute his enthusiasm for his Blue/green Chameleon
Super Sport. Good grades keep him behind the wheel, and the thump
of the big-block keeps him under the hood. Congratulations, Matt!

Kenneth Mapp, Clinton, MS
Obviously, Kenneth has more than a passing interest in '67s.
Besides his beautiful Super Sport, he owns a Malibu convertible,
an El Camino, and another SS coupe that needs to be restored.
Under the hood is a .060-over 454 backed by a TCI 3000-stall
converter/trans combination. It all feeds back into a 4.10-geared
12-bolt posi.

Larry Brockie, Des Plaines, IL
Larry is a Nissan technician working across the street from the famed (but now defunct) Nickey Chevrolet performance dealership in Chicago. No doubt, that's where at least part of his inspiration comes from to convert his Malibu into an SS clone to compete as a Super Street eliminator in the 10-inch street tire category.
