Street legal race cars are hot!!! Just ask anyone who's attended an NMCA Street Car Shootout. And while racing activity is what anchors these events, there's plenty more going on to interest even the most jaded Chevelle enthusiasts. Let's take a look...
We noted plenty of gorgeous Chevelles in the show car area, and they all seemed to be getting their share of attention. In fact, Chevelles were the largest single category at the show.
The swap meet was well attended, too, with a decent mix of used and new parts available to the parts scroungers. The manufacturer's midway offered plenty of resto parts from all the biggest vendors.
This '64 2-door sedan was the Oklahoma Highway Patrol's entry in the 'Beat The Heat' program. Trooper Bill Bryant wheels the big-block motivated Chevelle to 11.90s at 112mph on pump gas!
The helpful staff of the NMCA helped process entries, sold souvenirs, answered plenty of questions, and signed up new members during the event.
