Comments: I own a 72 malibu, it was a grandma car with a straight six. Bought it for $300. I ripped out the engine and put a 80 comaro 350 in. I put roller rockers in with edelbrock intake and a 750 cfm carb. It puts out about 400hp. I put cherry bomb exhaust on and this car is the loudest one in town. I kept the 2 spd. powerglide because i heard they were great for hot rodding.Hint Hint. It needs paint and two front fenders and a grille. If you have these for sale please write back so I can turn my monster into a pretty one. jwlchevelle.

I have also installed polly bushings in the rear and swaped for a gm 12 bolt out of a 70 elky. Posi with 3.73 gears and fine spline axels. Also i have just finished a 383 stroker and turbo 400 for it. its closing in on finished, as if a hot rod could ever be finished. The amazing thing about the car is how i aquired it. I actually traded strait up for a ridding lawn mower. go figure. I just wanted to point out there are still good hot rod deals out there. if anyone would send me some info about the 68' elky's i would be thankful

The truck still had the bias ply tires with all service records and relavent paper work included. I know the production on the GMC's were very limited compared to the Chev El camino's, and the Big Block GMC's even more rare. This is a Custom, but not an SP. I have properly replaced the 2 1/2

The transmission is a 350 turbo and the rearend is a posi-trac with 5-86 gear ratio. My car starts out at 50psi oil pressure and then after it is warmed up it only has about 10psi. I thought if I changed the oil pan gasket and cleaned out the pan that I would regain my lost oil pressure. But what is the easiest way to remove my oil pan? It's pretty much in good condition--with a few minor exceptions: the grill is slightly cracked, 2 back windows need to be adjusted properly. I am curious as to what this car might be worth.

My question is the engine is not the one that came in the car.
The code on the block is T0622CNN, I have checked various list of engine codes and can't locate this one does anyone know what it is. It also has a Sagninaw 4 speed which according to what I've found did not come in Chevelle's. Any insit into what I've got would be appreciated.
Thanks

Comments: I need some help. I'm converting the old drum breaks on my 72 el camino to disc. I purchased "all the parts I would need" from i guy who told me he was parting out his 71 chevelle. as it turns out, the parts he sold me were off a 73 or newer car. Here's where it gets sticky. I went to the parts store to match the ball joints and tie rod ends (i took the spindle with me for reference.) not realizing the discrepency in years until i tried to bolt on the calipers for the 72.

here's where i'm at. I have all the parts matched for the 73 installed on the car. the only difference i've noticed is that the spindles for the discs are 1 1/2" taller between the upper and lower ball joionts. I am trying to get in touch with the gentleman who sold me the parts, in the mean time, is there anyone who can tell me if this combination will work?

Thank you for your time

Comments: I just purchased a "72" Chevelle wagon "Nomad"
with 67,000 original miles verified. One owner 307/350
Only options were a clock/undercoat/window chrome/TH350
I have all the dealer doc's and protecto-plate etc.
(still trying to get the back seat out for the build sheet)
Excellent condition except for small rust spots in the usual locations. I have decoded the VIN #. My question is: I can find almost everything on Chevelle wagons upto 1970 after that it
seems that this model never exsisted. A 72 what???
It is always classified as a wagon. No mention of "Nomad"
I have been to many, many web pages and libraries.
Everything you ever wanted to know about Chevelle's except this one! Was this "Nomad" an option of some sort. The word "Nomad" does not appear anywhere in the dealer doc's.
assembled in K.C MO.
Only thing I have found so far is: 13,000 Chevelle wagons built.
Were all Chevelle wagons called Nomads?
Thank's in advance

I welded in new floors, made it look good, I've got a SUPER engine that I've been building(all H.P. parts and machining) I've been trying to make it with the SS dash, rather than the stock "rectangle gauge" dash it came with. I'm having ALOT of trouble with the wiring. If there's ANYONE out there who is good with wiring, or knows of a good reliable source or book to go to, PLEASE HELP ME!! I'm only a simple minded fellow, with a dream of leaving those "new, all show, no power, quiet" cars in my dust, and setting off alarm systems with the rumble of my engine :) , so if there is anyone who can help in anyway, please email me ..... gdiehm@skyhigh.com ....thanx

It is a #'s matching 350 2bl, and as time has gone by I have been gathering parts to finish the restoration. It is huggar orange with black SS stripping. As much as I love this colour combination, I am undecided on what colour to paint it. The original colour is metalic gold, which I don't like that much, but I'm restoring it to original. Love this car stuff.

Comments: My car is a 1970 Chevelle with 19236 original miles.
The car is code 75 Cranbery red. It has a straight six and a two speed transmission. The car was disassembled and dipped to strip the body and frame completely. The car was then fitted with all new fastening hardware, rubber and stainless steel fuel and brake lines. I was going to turn the car into an SS with a chevy 502, I even bought a brand new GM big block hood (which I still have.) but decided the car was better left original (I have a 1968 conv. firebird and corvette for speed).
The carpet, headliner and the rest of the interior are all in original showroom condition.
The car may not be as fast as my others, but the few times I do drive it realy gives me an appreciation for these old cars.

It currently has a 350-SB, but I hope to someday shoehorn a 454 between the fenders. I have all the paperwork concerning the car, such as the window sticker, protect-o-plate, etc., and found that it was built in Texas, sold in Alabama, and made it's way to Indiana and to me. It has a split-bench seat with column shifter, which will make way for a pair of buckets and an "SS" center console.

Comments: We have a 72 chevelle malibu convertible that we purchased in 1985. It was pretty much original. About all we have had done to it was a little interior work and new exhaust. We had the window sticker from when the car was purchased, but I let the kids help me clean out the car and one of the kids threw everything out of glove compartment. She's not fast, but turns alot of heads when we are cruising the Black Hills of S.D. The motor is a 350 with 2bbl carb and automatic. We have only been in Rapid City for 4 years, but we are getting settled enough so we can get the car out more every year. If any one out there would like any info about Black Hills of S.D. or western S.D., let me know and I will try to get you some info. Thanks for the spot. B.C. and P.C.

It is a very nice car and I consider myself lucky considering I am only 16 years old. I lost a tire the other day and since we were considering getting new tires for it any way, we figured this would be a good time. Here is my question: What size tire would be good to put on? We want to keep the stock 7 inch rims on the car. The widest tire that would fit is what we are looking for. Please e-mail with any suggestions.
